- response is v. slow (expected as per their T&C's advising not to provision non-US users)
- SharePoint service - DNS Server not available, access error
- JavaScript errors on Content Pages (UserCache?)
- Broken Links / Content not available
- LiveMeeting cannot be accessed; does not accept the admin user creds.
- using the SSO client when accessing SharePoint, asks me to download the client again?
- when accessing services via the SSO client, get directed to a web page asking me to sign in?
I am doing all this using IE on Vista; I haven't even dared to try this on my Mac yet!
I will keep plugging away, suspect I will be raising a bunch of tickets with MS Support.

Justin,
SOme of the problems you mention above are strange as :
1. Response time / US users ? The service, if you have signed up as a European (UK?) user is provisioned from a European datacenter.
Your home page should be https://hoe.emea.microsoftonline.com
2. SharePOint DNS service - not sure what you mean by this. SHould you be referring to accessing SharePOint without login in (Anonynous access) this is not supported at this stage.
3. Javascrypt / broken links. I have noticed some broken links in some of the Technet pages myself. No issues with Javascrypt. Where specificly ?
4. LiveMeeting requires users to log in. The admin is a a user of the service, so any user you'd create except for admin should be able to use the service. The admin ID is for set up and management of BPOS, this is not a user of the services.
5. SSO client. I have not had any issues. Are you sure this is the latest version you are using ?
The only service the SSO client should show you a sign in screen is when using OWA, this is normal behavior, as OWA is typically used when you are not behind your own PC ..
Peter,
1. I have an EMEA account so am accessing whatever servers support that account. The response is very slow (I'm not experiencing slow response from any other services I am accessing); in the online T&C's for BPOS it states, and I quote;
"If my company is US-based, but has international users, does that matter?
We recommend that only US-based users be provisioned to use services since the services are provided from Microsoft data centers in the United States only. The user experience from elsewhere in the world via the internet may not be optimal."
These are the T&C's I downloaded from the BPOS site last week when I was trying to sign up for the service.
2. In the admin console, when I try to access the SharePoint service configuration the connection times out; when I diagnose the problem in IE / Vista I get a message saying that the DNS server for the domain is not available.
3. When I exit the pages I get a JavaScript error relating to a UserCache object not being available.
4. When I try to log in to the LiveMeeting configuration from the admin console, it asks me to login - the online documentation says I use my BPOS admin credentials, however LiveMeeting will not accept these.
5. I have downloaded the latest client software from the BPOS site via links in the admin console.
I will keep plugging away for a little longer to try and figure out what the issues are. If I can't resolve them then I will raise another ticket with support.
Hi Justin,
I am curious if you know anyone running Android with BPOs?
