I have just run a few email campaigns and cold-calling trials. My observations are as follows:
Email campaign ratios: 100 : 15 : 5 : 1
For every 100 emails
15 will be read
5 will be acted upon
1 will be transacted upon
The above metrics are based on a mass email campaign using what I would describe as a traditional sales email format. I experimented with a more personalised email format and managed to get result of 30 : 1. For every 30 sent, 1 was transacted upon. his approach was more time consuming but probably worth exploring further.
Cold-calling
In the current economic climate, do not bother!
